Avira Error

Okay for some strange reason Avira just quit working and deleted it self from my computer. I figured it was infected so I used Malawarebytes and Superanti spyware and got nothing. The error i get is "A secure internet connection is required to activate the product (SSL encrypted) blah blah.
-ensure that the internet is generally accessible-and it is
-Ensure system date is correct-and it is
-check modem-modem is fine
Now i did use Hijack this a few weeks back and may have screwed something up but why would it just now take effect? My MSN messenger also will not sign in says there's no internet connection I've checked firewalls and everything to my knowledge i'd appreciate the help.

 

Avira doesn't uninstall itself, but some malware can cause the uninstaller to run.

You should run the full steps from
READ AND RUN ME FIRST
Then, start a thread there and post the logs.

I doubt if any deletions from Hijackthis would cause this.

To be certain, you really should post your logs there. You obviously had some malware, and just running those 4 tools usually doesn't clean up everything.

 

if you have another antivirus install, uninstall it. Also delete the files in your windows temporary folder. The easiest way is to use windows cleanup - start - all programs - accessories - system tools
