I didn’t see it this anywhere and wanted to see how do you all feel about this partnership?

In my constant use/love and promotion of this product, I am feeling a bit shafted. A ask.com toolbar? Really Avira? Partnering with Uniblue? A company that many consider to make scareware?

I was told by a rep that you don’t have to use Uniblue and that they will make it so you have to accept the toolbar and not just shadily stuff it into the installation, like many companies already do, but is that enough? Do you think this will tarnish their reps?

I guess as long as one can opt out upfront it would be fine. I've seen ask.com on several programs recently but they have an opt-out button which works. I never heard of Uniblue but wiki doesn't like them. I hope that an Avira update doesn't have that stuff either as I run Avira. I'm sure MA is on top of the situation.;):major

BTW, I wouldn't let Uniblue anywhere near my machine after reading about their PowerSuite, it does nothing useful IMHO..

There is also a thread about this all at Wilders Forum.
