Avira question

I posted this in my other post but no one replied on it, and I think it's important.

"The Avira does'nt seem to be working correctly under the 'Guest Account'. I say this because it says 'No 'PC Protection' with a Red X; but does have 'Internet Protection' with a Green X. (?) "Your computer is not secure, a service is not working correctly Red X". Then when I click on 'fix problem 'wrench in box', it directs me to their website to pay for Avira 'upgrade' (?!)."

The 'umbrella' in the 'red box' does not 'open' under the Guest Account,as it does under the Administrator Account.

What should/need I do? Thank you

Keep in mind that we are all volunteers here. Life sometimes interferes so we can't answer questions in an hour or two. In fact, on a busy day, I won't get here until late at night.

Hi,
I just had the same problem with Avira after an update. I solved it by going to start/control panel, add/delete programs selecting Avira free edition, CHANGE, modify and make sure all are checked, finish..then restart your computer. It worked for me! The umbrella opened and I now have active web protection. Hope it works for you!
