Avira spots malware in WinTricks?

Not sure if this is the right place to report this, but I was buzzing around the MG site and viewing all the categories under the "Files" list when I stopped at "Misc" and downloaded a file called "WinTricks" from the MG site.

When trying to install, Avira brought up the following message:

Virus or unwanted program 'TR/Dropper.Gen [trojan]'
    detected in file 'C:\Program Files\WinTips, Inc\wintricks.exe.
    Action performed: Delete file

As you can see I deleted the file, and then I uninstalled the software. Not sure if I made the right choice but I ran another scan w/Avira afterwords and all seems clear.

I've recently went through the R & R process, as well as installed and made all the protections/modifications as prescribed, and I have been running clean ever since. So, did my Anti Virus software do it's job or is this something else?

    Thanks in advance,
    Linuxpowers

It is just a false detection by Avira. ;)
