In the past few months I get an occasional odd listing of visitors to my website.
I thought I'd share this to see if anyone has any insight.
I use AWSTATS and there is an entry on the jpg I've attached that shows the Visitor only as a "." with no IP info or website info. It appears just above
17.142.151.101 in the Last Visit column. It's usually under 10kb in bandwidth which makes me think bot. But with no other info I'm not sure how it originates.

Any idea what this may be? The screen capture just happens to be at the same time that an Apple bot hit my site on this picture, but, that's not always the case.
    Thanks
    Eddie

    Hi

Maybe a question to ask the developers of AWSTAT as I was thinking of Bots/Spiders but they generally list, or that if a spider has hit your site in succession that as the unique visitor stats are only counted once per IP then that maybe a null count!

    Thanks
It's been a while since I've been on the SourceForge awstats forum so I'm waiting on reply from them to login.
