So i figured out the reason why my Ryzen x2700 did not work right out of the box for the B450 MOB as it should. The reason why it would not work right out of the box,Is because the cpu x2700 was not meant for the older BIOS.So what i have to do is install a older Ryzen cpu,Then up date the bios.

I went to amazon and bought a new Ryzen 3 which should work fine for just a BIOS update.I will not get this cpu till monday though

Any thoughts on how to update this motherboards bios the correct way.

The reason why all so i could not update bios be for.Is be cause i had no picture to see.I would plug in the video card and every thing correctly but no video.Because the cpu had error.

You're sure a more recent Ryzen 3 will boot when your Ryzen 2 doesn't?

From what i understand is that the BIOS on the B450 was recently updated to handle the Ryzen x2700.Even though the motherboard says it's first and second Gen supported.

So i got a AMD Ryzen 3 1200.To at least test the motherboard and see if it will load up.

Very carefully would be my advice. I would always get totally paranoid when doing this.

I take it you have read this

    https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/pa-100

One more thought, if your bios has a removable chip on the mobo, then you could perhaps get a new chip with the required firmware already installed / programmed onto it.....

I did this years ago for an Asus board.

There are companies around, some list this service on ebay. Not sure what make your mobo is but here is one..

As satrow says seems odd that a newer cpu will boot, if I have understood you correctly

    Good Luck

The AMD Ryzen 3 1200 is a first generation Ryzen and not one of the newer Ryzen 3000 CPUs.

Ryzen 7 2700X was released back in April 2018 as one of the first CPUs of the second Ryzen generation. I highly doubt that a bios update will fix this after the B450 Tomahawk was released in July 2018. The B450 series should support both Ryzen first and second generation out of the box.

Not being able to POST because the BIOS/UEFI doesn't recognize the CPU is the bane of home computer builders. I've experienced this a couple times myself over the years. It would help if you told us the brand, model, and revision of your motherboard. In the previous post, Philipp said "B450 Tomahawk". I don't know where he got that from; it's nowhere to be found in this message thread. There are lots of boards that use the AMD B450 chipset.
There should be is a setting in the BIOS/UEFI to install the update from a file on a flash drive. I can't say for sure how to do this without knowing which board you have.
Does your board have a system speaker? If so, it will make a pattern of beeps at POST if there is a problem (three short beeps, one long two short, etc). This helps to identify the problem no picture can be displayed.

Okay, so it is an MSI B450 Tomahawk; I didn't know about the other message thread. The CPU table says that the Ryzen 7 2700X is supported by BIOS/UEFI version 1.0. Your motherboard should have no problems POSTing with that CPU installed, assuming that everything else in the system is okay. Is the CPU new or used? Have you checked the CPU for bent/broken pins and any other damage (scorch marks, missing surface components)? I'm curious to find out if it POSTs with the Ryzen 3 1200 installed.

The B450 Tomahawk has a header for a system speaker, but MSI didn't install one. That's pretty common nowadays. I bought a cheap pizo speaker on eBay to retrofit my board.

Pardon me for stating the obvious things, but they're worth checking. First, make sure that that the CPU fan is plugged into the correct motherboard header. If the board thinks that that CPU isn't getting any cooling, it may refuse to POST.

Next, try clearing the CMOS settings. There is a jumper (JBAT1) to do this, or you can simply remove the battery (disconnect the power cord first), wait a full minute, and reinstall the battery. I've had brand-new boards that refused to POST until after I cleared the CMOS settings. Worst case scenario, it won't hurt anything.

MSI has a very clear YouTube video that shows how to update the BIOS/UEFI using M-Flash.

So i figured out that the mother board requires a older CPU.To see any kinda video.Which i think is kinda retarded. It clearly states that the motherboard it runs 1st 2nd and 3rd GEN right out of the box.Which is a total lie.

    Read this info.
    https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/pa-100

It need's this part to run.AMD Athlon 200GE which is a APU cpu that run's graphics.

This is about the new 3rd generation Ryzen CPUs but the 2700X is a second generation Ryzen CPU and should work out of the box.

Have you also tried to clear the CMOS? This is important on newer motherboards.
