BackDoor.Generic12.ABID

Hi,

Thanks for looking into this thread. This site was recommended to me while looking for help on this issue.

Yesterday, my Chrome browser stopped working. I kept getting the "Aw, Snap!" error message, basically telling me that the page (any page I tried to open) could not load. I tried Firefox and it will not open. So, I had to resort to IE, which will allow me one page, no tabbed browsing. I think that the trojan I have on my PC has everything to do with it.

I ran AVG Free and found an Infection called "Trojan horse BackDoor.Generic12.ABID". This is infecting a file in C:\\WINDOWS\system32\drivers called
G90156.sys. I vaulted the file but it keeps coming back as infected. Also looked everywhere on the Net and have found almost zero info on this trojan, so I think it's new, and I have no idea how I got it because I run everything pretty much on lockdown.

Any help/suggestions would be great.

Found the "Read and Run Me First" information and will do what is advised and post the logs and results here.
