Backup/transfer Of Photos On Desktop Pc

I want to back up my many photos and videos in Picasa on my desktop (Windows 7 Pro) with Acronis True Image and transfer them to Picasa on my laptop (Windows 10).

I already have some Picasa pics/videos on the laptop. How can I transfer the Picasa content on the desktop to the laptop without affecting the laptop content? Some of the Picasa content on the desktop is duplicated on the laptop.

I'm now editing videos on the laptop with Video Studio Pro, as the desktop frequently crashes when editing there with VS Pro. The desktop will ultimately be upgraded to Windows 10; right now, a ton of backing up to do there!

All my files and photos are backed up using Onedrive - it works fine.
i recently had to reinstall Windows 10 and Onedrive restored all my files and photos.

Microsoft have incorporated enabling Onedrive as a default in Windows 10. Click the Onedrive icon (a white cloud) on your taskbar and click settings.
there should be a green tick by your personal files etc.

 

Picasa uses its own storage cloud to keep photos, so using bridges, like one described above, is almost inevitable. As an alternative, try some other photo software like RawTherapee, some other storage like OneDrive, and some other backup software.
