Backup With Dd Command On Windows 10

instead of using a Backup Software, is it possible to clone the C: disk with a command like "dd" on Linux?

No, no equivalent in Windows, you have to use software to clone or image the C drive.

You dont need third party software......do an image backup in Win10.

 

I use the free version of Macrium Reflect but there are several free programs available, all very capable. As said, you can also use the Win 7 backup system included in Win 10 to create a system image, but not a clone.

 

An image is suffice, who needs a clone......its 90;s

 

I don't ever clone either, but clone was what the OP asked about.

 

Try it in Linux for Windows subsystem (Google DD on WSL) or "dd for Windows, You might already know that cygwin on Windows supports some Linux commands including dd"
