Bad HP printer software??

    was just informed by a computer tech that I may have a faulty software disc for my HP printer, keep getting fatal error occured during installation. is this true?

    Probably is the disk, you could download it from HP, but it looks like you might need to order it now. I sometimes needed to copy specific printer drivers from the product folder on the HP Printer CD to the product folder in C:\Program Files\HP, or the software wouldn't work properly. It used to only happen with Intel, but now am having the same problem with AMD.
    Sometimes documents get stuck in the queque also. I need to get an old dot matrix printer, they are about the cost of some of todays ink cartridges. Printers are big money to companies like HP, and they aren't built to last, but that does bring the cost down somewhat.
    Just my rant on printers, I use them as infrequently as possible, I probably use the scan option most frequently, and the fax option maybe once a year. Used to do a lot of photos too, maybe a couple of times a year now.
