Bad news for UK Crossing fans

We just got word that the Cross Fire Festival that the Crossing was going to be playing in isn't going to be able to afford to fly them over this year. They were hoping that the pre-sales on the tickets would be enough that they could feel good about the expense, but it's just cutting it too close for such a new festival. They're still going to have our friend Glenn and his band play (Glenn Kaiser Band), and hopefully they'll do well enough this year that they can have the Crossing play next year.

Sorry guys, Eric was really looking forward to meeting some of the UK Geeks ('specially you Goldie)

Yeah, I think it is. It was pretty disappointing, because they had the band on the website and everything. Everyone really had their hopes up. Eric and Mark still hadn't gotten their passports because when Hilde called about buying plane tickets they talked about a final meeting to decide (the band had thought it was a done deal at that point). They just didn't want the whole festival to go under because they overextended themselves this year. I can't blame them. As it was, the band wasn't really going to be making any $$ on it, it was just for the experience. Well, this was the closest they've ever gotten to going overseas, so hopefully next year it will really happen!

 

next year, I can drive goldy and hugga to the festival ah well, was looking forwards to it... but should be even better - I expect eric to bring the yellow shorts over =p

 

Gosh, this is making me even more sad. I didn't realize how much of a geekfest this was going to be!

 

Shame they're not going to be playing Cornerstone Florida this year. http://www.cornerstoneflorida.com/ A bunch of my other friends will be there though.

We will both be at Cornerstone Festival though http://www.cornerstonefestival.com/ in Bushnel,l IL over 4th of July weekend. Anyone going to that one? I'll be working in the Communications office, and Eric will be working Security as well as performing with the Crossing.

 

Awwwwwwwwww......crud. Oh well ... lets hope that us lot will have the oppertunity to meet up sometime in the near future.

Sizwiz: By next year I'll be able to drive myself there But hey, if you're offering to take us in your bigass car, can't complain!
