Ok ,so I have this Dell Dimension 4600 that decides every now and then that it would like to restart without any warning. Seeing as it is a Dell and all, I'm assuming the cooling should be sufficient (even though it doesnt look it  ) and the power supply should also be sufficient, since these are the parts that the computer was sold to me with.... Ufortunately, it being a Dell, there is no support on the mobo for cpu/ram temp or fan speeds (but it supports HD temp monitoring...go figure) so I cant check this for sure....

So I assume it has some bad RAM sticks in it. So I get a copy of MemTest and run it, and sure enough by the time it gets to %400 coverage, Ive already got 4 errors reported. So now I need to find which stick is bad (I have 2 512's), so I can replace it, right? I continue to run MemTest, this time with only 1 stick at a time, trying both DIMM slots for each stick running MemTest to at least %2000 coverage with no errors reported...

so why do I get errors with both sticks being utilized and not with only 1?
