Please don't reccomend reinstalling Windows unless you know for sure its the only answer.

When does it happen, and what are you doing specifcally at the time?

Could be a SP2 issue...its been documented (google on BAD_POOL_HEADER and read the news there)

if you can de-install SP2 and are comfortable doing so, you'll know.

(you can always download and reinstall)

    Hope that helps

I got my sound working... seems like i had too many drivers or something... so i uninstalled it, and the sound works. seems lke there was a driver conflict.
i am still getting the SiI controller error. what is that SiI controller?
