    You can't exactly carry an entire CRO (like the one you pictured) around with you can casually plug it into things. They're huge! And they need to be plugged into the mains. And they also usually cost about £400 at leaast.

    what are those oscilliscopes used for anyway? I am still in electronics 1, I probably wont get to play with one until next year.

    I want one:) ,awsome tool can be used for AC and automotive:)The hps 40 would be greatas it can transfer the files to pc £230 steep!, I cant see how long it can store the data :confused:

    How cool would you look when fixing someones comp,I'd test the AC even when reinstalling a driver:D ,not that I care about looking cool :cool: :D

    Well, you could use it to more accurately judge the stability of 5V and 12V rails, not to mention testing all sorts of things on the motherboard. You could use it to check AC inputs/outputs on amps, mics, transformers, anything!
