Basic DVDR Burning Questions (Right category?)

Could not really see a specific to my problem category so I chose this one, hope it is okay...


When burning a DVDR you have the AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folders but is it okay to burn other files, like a .txt, a .mp3 and a .jpg not inside those folders, in the main D:\ and it will still work fine, the DVD once burned?

I was also wondering can you burn a folder, example: D:\BILLY'S DVD\ and have the two AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folders inside that, plus the .mp3, .jpg, .txt inside the main folder (not the AUDIO/VIDEO_TS') and it will still work and play fine? Please help!

I have a THREE PART QUESTION PLEASE

2. Can you burn a folder, one main folder on the main disc, example: "D:\BILLY BOY'S DVD\" and have the two "AUDIO_TS" and "VIDEO_TS" folders inside that, plus the .mp3, .jpg, .txt files inside the main folder (not the AUDIO/VIDEO_TS) and the DVDR will still work and play fine without error?

3. There/These are already .VOB files and such should I choose the BURN DATA DVD method in NERO and not the BURN DVD-FILES or?

 

I'm not sure but you can test this out by creating an image of the disk before you burn it and using Slysoft Virtual Clone Drive mount the image and see if it works.

But my guess is you can add files where ever, but the TS folders have to be at the root for a DVD player, just a guess.

 

When using NERO and burning DVD-Video Files it doesn't seem to allow you to add any files into the root, like .jpg, .mp3, .txt, just the two AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folders.

Any way around this?

I imagine you have to burn these AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS as DVD-Video and not DATA for it to work out correctly right?
