Basic help needed...

Hello.

Am after some quick advice. Am looking for the easiest way to change the text and appearance of my Sony laptop from its basic mode to something more user-friendly and plush. At the moemnt the text is verging on the feint and am keen to restore it to the way it was when I bought it. Hope that makes sense to somebody... I hope the answer is embarrassingly simple but I have trawled through Windows Vista & have come up empty-handed. Many thanks.
