    Hi everyone,
I was told to post this here...!
This is my first post so any mistakes are due to ignorance and unintentional!
Bitdefender keeps identifying this file (1BATFAQ.txt) as a virus, which it is not. It is a faq for a number of DOS Batch files which I downloaded years ago.
I assume their must be something in the file which is the signature for the Bat.Gen virus.
Where could I find a version of the virus so I could find out what the signature is, and remove it from the 1BATFAQ.txt file?
    Thanks
    Neil

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

I cannot help you find the signature for this virus because it is not well documented. I believe it is a low risk/low runner. I would bet your txt file contain batch file commands or scripts and either certain scripts of commands or all of them are triggering the detection of a batch file generator which is probably what is setting BitDefender off. Your best bet may be to ask them why they are detecting your txt file.
