thanks man, it worked like a charm.. only problem is, now it opens the program in the cmd window and it's no longer full screen. If I take out the CPU priority settings, it works fine.. I can't wait til they get rid of this dos program.. it drives me nutz..

Not sure what you mean but you can make a shortcut to the batch file/command and specify that it should be run in fullscreen/maximized.

Trying to play an old DOS games which runs too fast ?
You could press ALT+ENTER to enter fullscreen mode.

not a dos game.. but a dos program that I have maintain here at work. It's not in my contract to work on dos programs but I do the best I can.

    Alt Enter worked.. thanks :)
now I have to figure out how to make it exit on close.. there's no option for that in the shortcuts on XP.. DIE DOS DIE!!

Also have a few DOS programs here at work, so I have been able to test a little. You can rid of the ALT+Enter thing if you want.

If you right click the DOS exe-file and select "Fullscreen" for it then it generates a shortcut to the exe-file which contains that configuration. (In the Program-tab you can also select "Close on Exit")

This shortcut has no extension (But if you remember from the old Win31 days those DOS shortcuts had the extension PIF).

Now launch this shortcut in low priority :

unfortunately it's not an exe file.. I looked at what it was executing and it's a file on my novell box that is a cobol file that launches what ever program and opens it in a dos emu mode. So anything I do has to be done to the shortcut or the batch file itself.
