Batch File To Use 7zip To Temporarily Decompress Programs

Hi! I have been compressing programs on a Win98SE system with a 2.1GB hard drive using 7Zip and creating batch files to decompress them, wait for the user to finish using them and then recompressing them. Now, I have two options: either create a program to automate the process or do it myself. If anybody out there is interested in this, I may create the program. Are you interested?

 

No thanks, c'mon Win98 on 2.1GB? Can't wait 'til you see the invention of the wheel....

 

foogoo: You're right. The hard drive is actually 20GB, but only the first 11% works. I am waiting to get a ~7GB hard drive installed. It's not much but is an improvement. Also, I have a 16GB flash drive that acts as a second hard drive, but it's full of unrelated information.

 

Win98 SE was a good performer, if you can rar then winace them to get a suitable size we can talk.

 

I'm working on my own compression technique. So far, I'm doing well, but have a load of work ahead of me.
