I have new graphic card and messed about with the video settings on battlefield 2. Now I have managed to set them too high and the game wont load, my monitor reads Attention Out Of Range H: 74 V:74. Any ideas how how I can reset video settings when the game does not load?

Start the PC in Safe Mode.

As it's rebooting, repeatedly tap the F8 key, then select Safe Mode from the options.

Once in Safe Mode, you can either right-click an empty part of your desktop, then properties, then the settings tab and adjust it there.

Or you can go into Control Panel, then Display.

I think he means he set the in-game settings to a resolution that his monitor wont support. In order to fix that you will have to edit your battlefield 2 ini file. In order to do this open up My Documents, Battlefield 2, Profiles, Default. Then open the file VIDEO.CON in a word editor. Change the resolution to a resolution your monitor will support. Save the changes then close the document. This should fix your problem. If it does not you can always re-install!
