battlefield 2 special forces problem

i recently downlaoded battlefield 2 special forces onto my advent 6301 with vista, when i run the application in question, it comes up with a error message saying 'mods/bf2/shaders/lightning/fx not found!!! do check your working directory and sync your shaders folder before calling upon your local rendering program/gp'
basically, i want to know wot i have do to to run this program i kno the game was only tested on windows xp (32 bit) so can i run it on my vista laptop?
