Battlefield 2 Unlocks

Hey all. Sorry if this thread is out of line, but I've got a question. I bought Battlefield 2 and I play it exclusively offline, in single player mode as I only have dial up. I've beaten every map on the expert setting and the game is starting to lose its replay value. I've heard there are unlockable items, and I would like to check them out. How do I do this in singleplayer? Is there mods/hacks/cheats to do it?

 

Nope, you have to play online and work your way up the ranks like I do

 

Sorry bud, but you're wrong. There are ways and I've found them. The method is at www.neowin.net/forum/lofiversion/index.php/t374623.html for anyone interested. There's also a method for unlocking them online, without going through the ranks. I'm sure punkbuster would catch that, though.

they will work mada be careful of patch 1.3 I heard this monster patch as well fixing games issues does its best to stop you unlocking the weapons in single player to force you online and pay a ranked server,I'v also just posted a link you might find interesting

 

BF2 is purely an online multiplayer game.

The single player entry is just token IMO.

It's a pity, it would be great if it was developed with single player in mind.

Effin game alone cost me $60. Sure server setup and usage has its associated cost, but that should be factored into the base price, not a theoretically infinite per-use cash cow. There should be some expense to stay competitive on the market. Whenever I make a video game, I consider it art and figure that it belongs to society and give it away for free(not that anyone would pay me for them anyway ).

Anyway, I've got these unlocks to work so I'm happy. I'm not too concerned about patches, as I said I don't get on highspeed outside of work very often.

I just don't use unlocks, cheating really, defeats the object of a game...

 

Dude, I've already achieved the "object" of this game. I've beaten EVERY map on expert setting with ALL factions. I'm getting BORED of it. I needed to do it to extend the playable life of the game.

At least until I get online and find a free server to play on.

 

All servers are free unless they're locked then not worth using.

Ranked multiplay ones are the best, for UK people anyway.

 

I might have overstepped the mark with this one mada,I really dont know much about bf2 multiplayer servers as I havnt had time to get stuck into playing online yet and I'm not sure how the ranking and weapon unlocks work,I quoted an article from a while ago that EA didnt want you to have the unlocked weapons in single player to force you online I assumed to pay for the ranked servers

Assume = Ass+Me

If there are loads of free ranked servers I not sure why EA is so buzzed about letting people use the weapons in single player mode

Well, those ranked servers might be free to most players, but SOMEONE has to pay to maintain them.

(My clan takes donations...LOL)

 

Being a huge fan of the Battlefield series, I was completely let down by this game. Only one mode of gameplay, no CTF or the "push maps" they talked about so much.

None of the Battlefield games have had a good single player mode. The AI are complete retards, just standing there while you walk up & knife 'em. How challenging is that?

 

I think this game is crazy, looks/feels great.. i think EA did a great job with this game, but for CTF.. and all the "cool Stuff", that can be changed overnight, and i hope it does


i use unlocks.. b/c its for the game... i'm in love with being a sniper/SF
If there gonna unlock sumthing in the game its for you to use it.. i mean.its there use it. Just like if i could use a rock on the ground and kill you with it i would!
