    Hi,

I went thru all the instructions to remove the malware on my computer. There wasn't anything wrong with it, per se, but it has been extrememly sluggish as of late. Went thru all the instructions and saw tons of spyware that was detected by the various malware scans.

I ran Panda and came up on a screen that told me that my computer was still infected and could only be disinfected for $12.99. Tried to upload the Panda log, but it wouldn't upload for some reason, so I ran it again. Got another pop-up that told me I could disinfect my coputer for $29.99, or something like that.

So I'm getting rather suspicious and wondering if there's still something malware lurking about on my computer or if it's Pandascan's way of selling their software.

I've uploaded Bitdefender, and HJT logs. Have tried numberous times to uplaod Pand, but it won't upload. Would someone be so kind as to tell me why it won't upload?

    Thanks.

    Welcome to Majorgeeks!

You must be clicking on somethings that are not necessary to click on in the Panda pages. If you follow the directiosn in step 6 (and there is even a detail instructions link) you should not have that problem. Panda is only used as a scanner. It is trialware but it will clean a few things. Most of what it finds it does not clean but that is not why we use it. We use it as a locating tool which it is good at doing.

If you are having problems uploading the Panda log, perhaps you are missing an error message telling you the file size is too larger???? If so, compress the file into a ZIP and upload it.

Your logs do not show any major problems! Bitdefender fixed what it found. You can have HijackThis fix the below lines:

    O16 - DPF: {56336BCB-3D8A-11D6-A00B-0050DA18DE71} - http://software-dl.real.com/1893b44ec52629effa23/netzip/RdxIE601.cab
    O16 - DPF: {B942A249-D1E7-4C11-98AE-FCB76B08747F} (RealArcadeRdxIE Class) - http://games-dl.real.com/gameconsole/Bundler/CAB/RealArcadeRdxIE.cab

Your major areas of concern are that your OS and IE versions are way out of date and represent a severe security risk. You must get updated ASAP.
