Beacon level setting?

I have a Toshiba Satellite L675. The specs are as follows:

    500GB HD
    4GB RAM
Intel I3 350M Processor (Lists four of them in Device Manager..quad core possibly?)
    Windows 7
    Realtek RTL8191SE Wireless Lan 802.11n PCI-E NIC
    Intel HD Graphics
    PC Tools Firewall and Anti-Virus
    Threatfire
    Advanced System Care
    SuperAnti Spyware-Free
    CCleaner
    Firefox
    Spyware Blaster

There are a few settings I am unsure of to get the optimal reception for my computer from the modem. I also believe that I may have..ahem..inadvertently changed something that might be fighting the process. The settings I am talking about are for the wireless card and are as follows:

    802.11d - currently Enabled

Beacon Interval - currently 1000 with a range of 0-1000

Preamble Mode - currently set to Short and Long with the option of Long only

Roaming Sensitivity Level - currently set to High with the options being; Disable, Disable, High, High, Low, Low, Middle, Middle

TX Power Level - currently 100% with option of 0-100%

Wireless Mode - IEEE 802.11b/g/n with other options but I know this is the correct one, but to be thorough I will add the other options; 11bg and 11b.

If someone can help me determine which settings are best for this computer to receive a wireless signal I would appreciate it.

    Addendum:

I live on the second floor of a bar. The modem is in a jukebox so I expect to lose some signal while it is playing. When it is not playing I do not expect to lose any signal but I do sometimes. Each morning I come downstairs and it takes about 10 minutes for the computer to get the full signal. When I say lose signal I mean that it shows three bars, but my computer won't allow me to access the internet. Hopefully someone knows how I can go about convincing my laptop it is ok to use the weaker signal if that is all that is available.

Finally, because I know it will be asked, I do have permission from the owner to use the wireless signal. I have permission to change anything within the modem that may help, as long as it does not disrupt the jukebox.

I appreciate any and all help with this matter.

I am also curious as to what setting I should optimize my connection to. The internet is Verizon and is allotting 3Mbs but I show ranges of 12-56 Mbps at varying times. What level should I optimize it for? I am not quite sure that highest is best here, but part of me thinks putting it at the highest optimization level will not effect it if it is actually lower when it comes in. I want to get the most of all those Mbps, even though it is rated for 3Mbps. Thanks again for any help.
