I'm posting from an airplane somewhere between Detroit and Salt Lake City! LOL

It's one of those things...if you build it, they will pay to use it. A 24-hour Wi-Fi pass was only $14. How do you resist that? I have spent 14 bucks on way stupider things than this. And my seatmates are jealous. :-D Probably it wouldn't be this funny if I wasn't running on zero sleep in the last 24 hours and a coffee concoction the size of my head, but whatever. I'm on the internet in the sky! LOL

I thought you couldn't use electronics because it would cause the plane to fall out of the sky. I guess they now that they can charge for it, the planes are magically fixed?

 

The planes insurance is probably magically paid.

I find it interesting that during 9/11 air force one didn't have functioning wifi or good communication link to the ground and it could have cost lives, now everyone can have it for $14.:-D

Wouldn't bank on it working in a crisis though.

EDIT Ever notice whenever you try the internet in a new place the novelty wears off in about 5 seconds when you realise it's just the internet:-D Great for boredom though.

 

With Wi-Fi now available as in-flight entertainment, I wonder how long it'll be before we start reading stories of flight attendants having to deal with passengers who think watching porn at 30,000 feet is acceptable behavior.

What consenting adults do in privacy is their own business. If you're wedged in a seat next to me, it becomes my business.

Yeah, I can see where that would be over the top. I don't doubt it has already happened . . .

 

I saved the porn watching for the two women who decided for me that since they boarded before I did that meant they got the window seat and stuck me on the aisle.

Here's a weird thing, though...I bought internet for the plane, but here it is something like 36 hours after I landed and I just now pulled my laptop out of my bag. We've been doing other stuff. :-D

You can tell it's a movie set where they will be projecting computer generated graphics on that blue screen.
