So I've been a member here since May or so but I really haven't gotten to know anyone in here. So NOW, I figure it's time to do that. Haha. Well, who are all of you?? :D

Me? I teach comps (software stuff) at a university in Utah while I'm going to school. Other than that I just love to "supe" up my comp and edit video and play games (a friend of mine introduced me to gunbound - oh man). I'm 21 and I'm a chick - kinda rare in here it seems. Lol.

Anyways, so maybe now, after 7 or so months, I'll get to know all ya'll...

    Male, 17, Single,

I’m currently a junior in high school and I am working on my Academic Honors Diploma, and pursuing the IT Academy Certificate from my school. I plan on attending a 4 year university, either Purdue, or Valparaiso. I want a career in Law, Tech, or Medicine. I am still not decided on which. I am an Eagle Scout, and still involved in Boy Scouting. I plan on becoming a leader when i turn 18, and seek out a Venturing group near my home. I will soon be working part time at Circuit City, in their computer department. Right now I want to expand my knowledge or politics, loose the added pounds from the holidays, (Taboo is great!), and finish off our basement. :)

Still a newbie here, but it feels good here, I'll stick around (and you can regard that as a promise or a threat! :p )

I was born in London, I'm still a British citizen, but I've lived in Sweden for 33 years now... But I go to England twice a year to visit friends and family there, and I am considering moving there! :)

I'm working as a teacher in the winter, teaching technical and maritime subjects to both A-level (highschool) and college classes.

In the spring (and the occasional trip odd times of the year) I work as a sailor and engineer on a small wreck in the archipellago around Stockholm. I'll fix some photos of me in the engineroom as soon as I've installed Photoshop again... but here is a picture of the boat...

The bird. Lmao! Strange looking crane indeed! :D She was named that in 1970 when she came to Sweden. It's an old Danish boat, can't remember the original name.

    hi there newgroove!
i'm female, 37yrs, single, no kids, retired. used to work for newspapers. started out selling classified ads at the local rag while i went to college then transfered to the editorial side as circulation manager. then got promoted to advertising rep (selling box ads), then to advertising manager, then to assistant publisher. then corporate office moved me up to their facility and made me the press/post press manager where we printed 16 or 17 newspapers and around 25 independent publications - it was crazy! and i loved it - always had an adrenaline rush from the constant deadlines. i was the youngest person and the only woman to hold that position in the history of my company.
now i'm just having fun doing nothing - fiddling around with my computer (my very 1st computer), playing with my cats. am thinking of going back to college - maybe take some american sign language classes and/or finish grad school.

I'm from the UK Buckinghamshire (South East, about 40 mins away from London), and I don't have a full time job or salary, but I am self employed as a web designer (I own a partnership with a friend). I love design, graphic or otherwise, my mission statement is to make the web a more efficient place to gather information :)

At school, I like to talk about Physics, I'm particularly interested in particle physics and astrophysics. I'm taking my A-Levels next year, which are: Physics, Maths, Chemistry, Product Design.

I play squash for my school team, and I also play keyboard in a band. One of my hobbies is home recording, I've got all the kit to make a studio, but none of the room! I used to record a band called Hypostasis, did them a demo and was nominated for "best home recordinhg" in a local music scene publication. (didn't find that out until a couple of days ago!)

I'm also interested in film-making, and I'm part way through scripting and storyboarding a series of machinima shorts (if you don't know what that is, go to www.machinima.com ).

I've been here for nearly 3 years now, and I apparently started a name changing trend when I requested AbbySue to change my name to goldfish654 to goldfish ;) (I assume that, because after I changed my name, about 5 other people did too! :p).

Well I'm a babyboomer and a Marine Corp. brat whose life has been turned upside down in the last four years. We moved from a subdivision to a rural cattle ranch. Our house was built in 1938 and within months of moving in there were two ghosts. We trapped over 60 hobo spiders and three snakes. Our australian shepherds have to stay in at night or the cuyotes will get them. My husband has had three wrecks on his 4 wheeler and pinned himself to the hay stack with the tractor fork. I have learned to use the computer as a window to the world because all I ever see around here are cows, gophers, and a skunk who got his head trapped in our smoker and was being attacked by the wasps who built a nest inside.

Totally understood what you meant. I know some people that refer to their previous lives a lot - meaning when they were with their ex-husband or ex-wife. It's an excellent way to put things. Of course, that is, if you like pushing back memories, lol. Aww, days without a computer - I don't know if I've ever seen one of those!!!! :D

Here's one for the cat lovers.

I made the mistake of bringing home the off brand of cat food (the store was out of the normal brand).

Anyway, one of them used the food bowl as a litter box. Yep, no more off brands for them :) .

    Owned by cats. ;)

My cat is the exact opposite - she will only eat the dry whatever-brand cat food. No nice soft food or cat treats for her. She just paws over them and leaves them like they belong in the litter box...

I once had cat that would only eat the dried cat food biscuits, but he was partial to a nice can of pilchards in tomato sauce occasionally :D
