Been trying to run an unofficial PS3 Controller with emulators, need help.

Hello.

Ok for the last week or so ive been using my official Sony PS3 Controller to play My various Emulators. Its been working fine and without problems, although I do own a 'Gioteck' Custom PS3 Controller which id sooner use as my official one is damage and I cant use my L2 button and sometimes my L1 button.

All in all when I plug it in the Lights are flashing liek the would on the official one. Then as soon as I hit thesoftware to activate the controller, it goes dead.

If anyone can help me our here id be greatly appreciated.
