beeping laptop

    hi
    i have a compaq laptop after it loads the compaq screen it starts beeping constantly non stop.
    I can get into bios by f10. but their is only like 3 options in bios.
    it doesnt matter what i try to have the laptop boot to floopy,cdrom,or windows it beeps non stop, unless i hit the esc key.
    i have pulled the extra ram chip and still does it.
    any ideas or help would be great

    it only had 1 extra ram on the bottom, i removed that and it still beeps?
