Go to Victoria, stroll along the waterfront until you get to the bottom of Pandora street, and go into Swan's. Ask for a pint of Buckerfield's Bitter. You wont regret it.

Or go to Nelson and drink some After Dark ale.

12oz beers, but I weigh 300lbs or 136 kg, and I am 6'3", so it takes about 7 beers for me to even get a buzz :) BTW I am on #9 now LoL

So a few months ago, the owner of the bar I frequent started keeping Harp in stock just for me...and it's now taken off so that they actually run out occasionally. I told them it wasn't just me.

BUT...I just discovered last week that they've got Smithwick's on tap!! So I have options. :D

Normally i'm just a Miller Lite kind of guy!! But when I want a change of taste...I go for a Hornsby Draught Cider!! Gotta watch it though...I get s**tfaced too easy on it, and it leaves a horrible headache in the morning!!

Went to Brighton, England about 5 years ago, to see a budy in the military stationed in Alkinbury (Spelling??), and we went to a pub in Peterborough, and they had and EXCELLENT cider on draught, but I think of the name for the life of me!!

Amen Lev & Sgt. Geek, Amen. Everybody should always have a designated driver. In my wilder days, my friends and I would rotate who the driver would be - it worked flawlessly, except for one time. Then we called a cab and left the DD's car at the Bar . . . and the next day NONE of us would take him back to get it.

Gentlemen, you have hardly skimmed the surface. Hardened old piss-artists like me dream of:-
    Timothy Taylors' Landlord Special,
    Brains' Skull Attack,
    Theakstone's Old Peculier,
    Shepherd Neames Spitfire,
    Cooper's Sparkling Ale,
    Cascade Premium,
    Dortmund DAB
    Hamburg Breweries Hansa

And so on, and so on. There's a whoel world out there, full of breweries.

Ahhh beer. You can't really appreaciate the varieties until you make it yourself. I'm planning on another batch either this weekend or the next.

I'm either going to make a chocolate porter or a rasberry wheat next.

    My favourite stypes?

    IPAs
    Anything with lotsa hops
    Anything with IBUs of 90+

Store bought beers? I really don't have a favourite one.

I've had some home brew - once while deer hunting. It was damn good (and was packaged in gallon jugs - another selling point for me :) ) The maker thought it was not his best . . . but, after "sampling" two gallons of it that weekend I decided that I'd endorse his best without sampling it first. He said it was just the cold talking - it was 17 degrees or lower that weekend - but I still thought it was a good batch.

I honestly don't know now what my point was . . . I assure you I had one . . . but it eludes me now. Sorry - move along please.

LOL! Nice...yeah, I can't get my fiancee to even try em.

Oh, and another--Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout. A different twist on a very heavy, dark beer.

Well, my 3rd batch of beer will be ready to bottle this weekend. My 2nd batch is ready for consumption. Though, I may wait a bit for aging.

I'm going to brew the next two, but unsure which one first.

My next batches will be a rasberry wheat and a Chocolate porter. Which should I brew first?

I like dark beer and spicy food too . Hmmm, what about putting some Red Hot Chilli Peppers into good old Murphys, just like you can put some lemon into Corona`s ?:D

Well i guess i have to try it ...
