I recently did a new install of Vista on my PC due to conflicts some programs where having that I could not get resolved. After the install I downloaded Pc Tools firewall and anti-virus and IOBit Security, along with Spyware blaster, Advanced Spyware Remover, and Super Anti-Spyware. I was having a problem where I would sign out of my computer and go to bed and when I got up in the morning I was unable to open any programs when I signed in. I would go to the Start menu and click on the arrow to restart and nothing would come up. I would try to open other system options and nothing. I would hit Ctrl/Alt/Delt and nothing would come up. I am assuming it is a problem with the programs working together so I removed all of them and went with Comodo, AVG, and kept Super AS, ASR, and downloaded Advanced System Care along with Spyware Blaster again. The same thing happened this morning. I have currently shut off System Restore and am running all the scans available on my system right now, but I am inclined to think it is something else. Is it possible I have something set wrong that creates the conflict? I did notice that upon restart the bottom bar loads in sections rather than all at once. If it is probably malware I will follow the instructions, if you think it is a system setting issue please let me know and move this thread. It does not do it throughout the day when I sign out and sign back in, only when I sign out overnight and sign in when I wake up. Thanks.

It may not be malware based on what you describe, but the only way we will know for sure is if you run thru the cleaning process and attach all the logs. And when you say you "sign out", do you mean that you are also turning off your PC or are you leaving it running and letting it go into hibernation mode?
