Being a bit paranoid

Hi there, I have a question about Morpheus and Kazaa.
Cannot recall which one I used, but once I accidentally downloaded a picture which I suspect may have been of illegal nature.
As a result, I threw the file in my recycle-bin and emptied it as soon as I saw it, which is to say about 1 minute after download.

Due to my limited knowledge on how to set the sharing-properties in these programs, there is a fairly great risk that this file may have been available to the entire network until deleted.

Is it possible it may have spread far during this time and if so, could I get into serious trouble?
