Being Harassed on AIM

    hey everyone

    I only have 3 people on my AIM list and they are all offline. Somehow I keep getting the message on my screen "(insert name here) wants to send you a message, accept? Yes or no?"

    How does someone thats not even on my buddy list send me a message? how do they know I am online? Someone is harassing me and wont say who it is.

    Other AIM users can do a search for like-minded users.
    Alot of them are spam from aduld-oriented sites.
    You can, in preferences (under privacy, I believe) disable the option to allow people to search for you.
