Being ovetaken by the team in 85th place!

Majorgeeks.com is currently in 84th place in the folding teams. I was just looking at the stats and from what I understand, it says it will take the team in 85th place just 2 days to overtake us. And yes, it looks like the MajorGeeks team will be passed in a couple of days. You pass some teams, you get passed. The only way to not get passed is to have more computers folding for your team.

Im folding as much as I can really. I started leaving on my ps3, and have my pc set up to run 2 clients under ubuntu (dual core). I leave both machines on for about 12 hours a day, so hopefully that might help a bit!

 

So how do those PS3 machines do for folding?

Very efficient I think. Takes approximatly 8 hours to do a WU. Although it can take over 9 hours or as little as 7. Deadline to complete WU's is about 2days. I get an average of 370 points for each WU completed. So its all good.

 

Pretty good PPD, especially if you are only running them for half the day.

Number of active folders is up, all we can to is our best, it's all good and for a great cause. I added my laptop, every pc helps a little to keep us in the top 100. We are really doing great with the number of folders we have.

I also installed the client on my sisters computer yesterday. so hopefully that will help more. Gettin addicted to folding! Love seeing the work units for the group go up! If only I had known about this good cause 2 years when i built my first decent pc!!

 

Excuse me while I go get the PS3 started up... now that the @!!#$ router finally acknowledges that consoles also need internet access! Grrr.

I will be contributing a bit more to the team in the near future

 

Glad you got it worked out. I would hint to my niece that she needs a new PS but think my brother would have my hide *grins*

 

Easily. The thing is a Folding beast. It would be scary if it wasn't so cool.

 

I don't know about that... I got one PC Pumping out 2100 points a day on average. I think the PC's are catching back up! Keep in mind, it was not TOO long ago that a 900MHz 'puter was top of the line...

But it is great to have the PS folding also. Wonder what they will be folding on in 5 or 6 years...
