Belarc 8.1.2.0 Install Failure

    XP Media Ctr SP3/ESET ESS Suite FW-AV/FF 3.5

    1st time ever I get a "dll (can't) Run as App" Error that PREVENTS INSTALL OF latest Advisor.exe....happened with old and new Firefox.....

    I'm an "average/moderate expertise" user. Are there any Utilities I can try to diagnose/Fix this? Many Thanks!!

    Thanks for the prompt Reply.

    Sorry I didn't mention I run Diskeeper 2009, CCleaner, MalwareBytes, Spybot S&D, SuperAntiSpyware Pro, and GMER Rootkit --- All weekly.

    Based on a current ESET Forum post issue (corrupted download for one user who had no issue with Web Access Protection disabled) I Disabled it also and got same "Can't Run dll as an App" error result....

    Thanks again for your suggestions. XP was HP Installed and I have no XP CD, much less the SP3 Ver of XP CD a link says is (may be) required....

    All else seems OK so Belarc is not worth a full project. Maybe I'll get lucky and stumble on a fix later.
