    Hopefully I have come to the correct forum for help in regard to Belarc Advisor
    Within the last hour ran the prog and it came up with a particular entry which is causing me a problem.
    Under Microcosft Hotfixes, KB928255 appeared in red saying to reinstall. I downloaded and installed (so I thought) because after installing, the situation remains same after running program once more.
    Can anyone say what might be the cause for the situation still saying to reinstall.

    Some hotfixes ar 'rolled up' into others when mocrosoft releases later ones. So if you look in add/remove programs and tick the show updates box you will never see all the possible microsoft updates.
    Does the microsoft updater not help?

    My Microsoft Updater indicates that my PC has all the necessary updates.
    But as mentioned before, even though I download this particular update it makes no difference to the result mentioned in Belarc Advisor. MBSA also shows that all updates are installed.
    Perhaps will just have to accept the situation as it is.

    Did you UNINSTALL KB928255 first, before downloading and installing it again?
    It probably won't work unless you do. Bazza

    Could be just that you shouldnt believe Belarc, it may have a glitch causing this to show as not installed? especially if all the other routes are telling you it is installed ok.

    Get latest version of Belarc if not already http://www.majorgeeks.com/download1385.html

    Since my last input had to reinstall windows and since then having updated everything the problem is no longer occurring.
