Best approach to repair PC that shuts down

Greetings. This is indeed a great source of knowledge. I hope you can help.

My wife's laptop has picked up a particularly nasty piece of malware/virus that shuts the laptop down with the message:

Windows has encountered a critical problem and will shutdown. Please save all your work".

It does this in Safe Mode also.

Because of this, I am unable to run anything but RogueKiller which I can do in the Recovery Console.

I suspect ZeroAccess in the services.exe file. This is from being able to run partial scans before the box shuts down.

What would be the best approach here since the procedure listed in this forum is not possible.

I am attaching the RogueKiller file. It is the only one I can run.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just to clarify, I get between 3 and 4 minutes before I see the shutdown message.

I have tried shutdown -a but that is not effective. I get an error 1115. Shutdown is already in progress (or something like that).

You're on the right track, just need a bit more information before we can run a fix.

Type the below bolded text in the edit box after "Search:".

services.exe

Then click the Search button.

It will make a log (Search.txt) on the flash drive. Please attach this log to your next reply. (How to attach)
