Thank for the info, i like OOG a lot but my nomad doesn't support it, yet, cooledit looks like something i'm looking for, i think have tried all but cooledit, i wonder how it would compare to sound fordge, again Thanks for the information, what i'm really looking for is an encoder other than Fraunhofer or Lame, is there anything better than these ?

personally prefer soundforge for my recordings etc because of the wave hammer filter, its great for compressing and limiting things before mastering them properly. Cool edit i like for messing about with noises and stuff, because i find it easier to use in that respect. Unfortunatley CoolEdit 2000 uses Fraunhofer but im not sure what pro 2 uses (maybe the same). I wouldnt have thought it would be such of a problem if you have soundforge, i havnt come across anything better than Fraunhofer but to be honest i havnt really needed to.
