    What is the best blu-ray burner that plays all blu-ray discs? I mentioned all discs because every time I bought a blu-ray burner, most of my blu-ray discs don't play and when I check for a decent blu-ray burner at Amazon and check the reviews, there's always people moaning about they couldn't get all their blu-ray discs playing either.

    Also, for mutli-region, would I need a multi-region blu-ray burner or would I have to get some blu-ray multi-region software. I want to play Region A as well because I bought a blu-ray movie at Amazon UK and somebody sold me a Region A (locked) that was stupid of him. I never sent the movie back because it's a limited edition and I'm hoping I can get a decent blu-ray burner working for all my movies into my PC including the Region A (locked) movie.

    Thanks.

    The best would be highly debatable, as you already said, in most situations to get a multi region blu ray player, you would have to modify it in some way, usually the firmware.

    There are a few players being sold as multi region stock, but they are few and you have to look. Here are 3 I found on amazon;

    Icom BD780 3D Multi Region Free Blu Ray DVD Player, NTSC / PAL

    Samsung BD-F5100 Upgraded Multi Region Zone Free Blu Ray DVD Player - PAL/NTSC - Worldwide Voltage

    Toshiba BDX1400 Region Free DVD & Blu-ray Player
