Best Browser?

Want to try something other than IE. Looking for security plus doofus level problem-free ease of use. Browsed the list here, but would appreciate personal recommendations to help make a decision . Thanks.

 

Opera is very good, and now it's freeee!

I personally think it's better than FireFox.

 

Opera is markedly faster than Firefox, or it was until I found this:

This is way better than Firetune

There are about a half-dozen or so other browsers out there that are just skins that use IE's engine, thus are subject to the same vulnerabilities that IE is. The only one I've found that seems to take some initiative to patch some IE holes is Maxthon.

 

I'm sold, fasterfox is definitely better than firetune.

Part of FireFox's attractiveness, is in my opinion, one of it's annoyances, and that is all the extensions.

Yes I know, that's what makes it customisable, but it's also a pain in the @rse.

I just like to install a browser, make a few adjustments, and that's it.

You also find that a lot of the bugs that people experience with FireFox are because of extensions.

 

I like the webkit browser, which is a source-compiled version of Safari. I can get up to the minute updates by running a script as well. IMO, it is the most web standard compliant browser out there.

Camino is nice too.
