Best P2P Software

What is the best software for P2P, I have used LimeWire, BearShare, and Kazzaa they all seem to have hidden adjendas to there software, like addware, spyware, and so forth. Any help would be great.

lol... you just know most of the answers to this will be along the lines of "None of them!"

Actually, i used morpheus for years, and never had a problem with it, but this was because i was able to disable and remove the rubbish which comes in with the download. Recently i installed Zone Alarm firewall and morpheus hated it! Or vice versa... lol Anyway.. i switched to Limewire and that seems to be fine, except for the annoying promt to update to the paid for version. On reflection, thats not quite right. Limewire is ok, but the quality of the downloads isn't wonderful.

Really and truely your always going to be taking a risk with any P2P product, and the only way you find out you've got something with a problem, is when its too late. My friend swears by Bearshare, but then he works in the states for Double Click dot com, so i tend to make the sign of the cross at anything he recommends just in case lol!

My recommendation is bit torrent. Most torrent files are clean and virus free. the clients are made most as opensource projects, so no spyware.
Bitcomet would be my suggested client

 

WinMX is without adware and other malware. I and at least one friend have used it for several years. It got a good rating on a P2P listing site. Can't speak for whether files downloaded through it will be clean; that's always a risk with any P2P. For sharing files too large for email or IMs directly with one other person you know, one could use the online YouSendIt site.

 

soulseek is the best once you learn how to use it.

bittorrent is ok, i just recently started using it.

 

bearsharelite works well no adware, that comes with bearshare pro, i've been using it for about a year [since kazzalite crapped out] very cool
