Best Video Calling App?

Phone calls have never been the same since the advent of video calling and group chat apps.

I'm guessing you have at least one installed in your phone/tablet/PC (all of them).

I'm used to using Skype for business purposes and FB Messenger for personal calls but there are at least 12 video calling apps that are available in the market (both paid and free).

What's your best choice for video calls, group chats and video conferencing?

 

I don't have any experience with any video calling apps as I have no need for them. But if I had to suggest one, I would say try out Google Hangouts.

Hangouts is Google’s answer to Apple’s FaceTime and it’s one of the most popular video calling apps on Android. Hangouts is primarily a messaging service but you can also use it to send SMS messages. On top of that, you can also make voice and video calls at your leisure. Video calls can have up to ten participants and it also works cross-platform so you can call someone on your phone and they can answer on their computer. It’s also totally free and pre-installed on many Android devices.

I personally use skype, but google hangouts and FB messenger is also okay. I have these 3 installed in my phone

 

I have Hangouts since it came pre-installed on my phone. I personally prefer FB messenger for personal calls and I use Skype for work. What I like most about using these apps is the convenience I get. I can do video and audio calls on the go without the need for specialized video conferencing equipment.

Without mobile apps like these, we'd probably be stuck using a VGA web cam on a bulky PC or a laptop.
