Better Batteries (10X Better)

    "The researchers have found a way to use silicon nanowires to give rechargeable lithium ion batteries—used in laptops, iPods, video cameras, and mobile phones—as much as 10 times more charge. This potentially could give a conventional battery-powered laptop 40 hours of battery life, rather than 4 hours."

    Hope the costs are comparable, this could be big!

    i have some industrial quality batteries for a piece of equipment that i use,they are about 4 times more storage but they were really expensive,at least double the cost of the most expensive rechargeable,s.

    Cars, they didn't mention cars. Thing I've always wondered about is the temperature sensitivity a lot of batteries have. That could be a killer. It would be nice to have a car with 400 miles range and could recharge in an hour or so.
