Better Electricity grid for 4 African countries

Looks like a few African countries will get a better Electricity supply. Hope it expands from capital cities, to suburbs and the remote places.

I would have thought that South Africa would have enough money to expand / upgrade their own grids if they had to.

The 4 West African countries listed are really only just emerging from the consequences of the 10-11 year war that ended in 2005, in Sierra Leone and affecting those nearby states.

For years, Freetown (capital of Sierra Leone (SL) has had an on-again, off-again electricity supply, mainly off-again) with no electricity outside the Capital.

The new government elected just recently has gone a long way to getting a more reliable electricity supply in Freetown, and obviously has just signed a letter-of-intent with China to install hydro's and power stations. I wish them luck. SL deserves it, Bazza

 

Sounds good i should imagine it would help getting their acconemy up and running as well as essential services like water pumps etc

 

Great!More West Africans with electricity and PC's just what we need,they would have had the money for the grid sooner if someone had just sent the $1000 to the Bank so they could release the kings funds...
