BF1942 problem

While playing BF1942 I have my graphics turned all the way up however vehicles and sandbags and flag poles all look like they have chunks taken out of them (i'll get screenshots if the problem persists even with preliminary advice). I've played low, med, high graphics settings and even turned it to custom and goofed around with random settings but nothing seemed to fix the problem. Along with the chunks taken out vehicles also move choppily while I look at them. My movement is fluid and I have no choppiness while looking around but the tanks and planes look frozen, teleport 100 ft then look frozen again.

I'm going to try rolling back my driver but I'm not sure if it's the driver since I tried installing the newest driver a month or so ago to fix the problem and that didn't help. The game runs perfectly except for these problems. I've tried patching the game to the latest version and it still happened and reinstalling which also didn't help. I recently did a massive clean up of the computer and reinstalled hoping the problem might somehow have been fixed because every other game on my laptop worked better than ever after I cleaned it up but no such luck.

By cleanup I mean I did all my virus/spyware scans, cleared useless stuff out of my registry, uninstalled programs I no longer use, cut my processes and startup list in half, and did disk cleanup and defrag.

 

Ok then, this is my confused. I tried to get screenshots of the problem and when I pulled up the screenshots the game looked normal. Even though I took shots of holes in the textures there were none in any of the pictures. The game looked perfectly whole...

So, yeah, I'm utterly confused now.
