==BF2 Connection Question==

Hey peeps. Alright, soon after connecting to the BF2 servers, I get a "There is a problem with your connection" message while playing. And you know when you have some young punks head in your sniper's crosshairs, you dont wanna lose your connection.

I have the latest gfx/audio drivers installed. I scanned for malicious files. I added GameSpy and EA to my "Allow List" in my Kasper FW. Have the latest BF2 patch. Im running the game on Med setting for the best possible performance. I cut down my running processes to seventeen. I stopped Kasper from Updating while I was playing. I'm using a DSL connection. I have 1gig of RAM, A64 +3500@2.2GHz and a 7600gt (its a bit weak but it should handle BF2 on Med Sett). Dunno what the problem is.......

I thought maybe it was my cheapo router (AlphaShield) that was screwing the game up, but I unhooked it and it still had the same problem.


Any help will be much appreciated.....

Is this on all servers you've tried or just one?

 

Thanks for the reply! It occurs on all servers, even during single player campaigns. Although single player lasts alot longer before I see any Error Messages. I can play single and have it last 2-4 hours with no glitches, in multiplayer it only lasts about 20-30 minutes.
