Big mess.Random sound files, redirecting browser, etc

My computer is a big mess. I have tried following along on someone else's thread that had the same problem as I have, but it did not work. It started with random audio, bits of commercials, etc. Now it has progressed to that, plus whenever I am on the internet (I use Firefox) a new window opens up in front of the window I am using. It also seems that something is turning off my firewall, because every time I restart my computer now, it tells me there is no firewall turned on. So I enable it every time I open the computer.

Sorry, I just saw the READ AND RUN ME post. I will do those steps, then post my results.
