I was just reading an artical im maxim about how that area was due for a big quake.

wow half and hour ago the death count was 600. Now its over 3000!

Absolutely horrible! Makes the daily tiny problems like public transportation running late and rude neighbours sound like luxuary!

 

Those ARE luxury. We just take them for granted most days. Tragedy of unknown porportions. It will be a while before we get anything like an accurate toll, both in people and in damage. Huge.

 

I couldn't believe it when I read it on CNN earlier today.

 

This has become more than I can even comprehend.

 

I don't think they'll ever get a truly accurate toll. think of all the people they had to burn or bury before they could even identify them... All the people who washed out to sea.... It's just absolutely horrible. When I can free up some money, i'm going to donate it to the relief effort.

I'll have to think it over, but I might donate some of my Christmas money. Wouldn't be much, maybe around $15 or so, but it could help.
