I hope someone might know what to do so I can fix this problem, I flashed my radeon 9200 SE Bios to a Radeon 9200 just to see what would happen, I succesfully replaced the 9200SE bios with a 9200 bios after restarting the computer the screen doesn't even turn on, I'm pretty sure that windows doesn't even boot, cause I put in a floppy disk before windows boots, normally you can hear it reading from the disk but now... nothing, it's pretty much dead. Does anyone know what I can do to get around this?

Will the screen turn on if I connect the monitor to a PCI video card or maybe integraded card when I have an AGP card in the AGP slot at the same time, Is there a boot sequence I'm going to have to change or something? As long as I can see something then maybe I can fix it myself, cause I saved the the oldbios before flashing it.

Hoppefully someone might know what to do.

Doesn't sound like it, your only alternative's are 1) boot with a PCI vga video card and have the agp vid still plugged in, boot to windows and get a 9200SE bios on that card back again. The other thing would be is return to mfg and get it replaced. 9200 sucks either way, theres no need to play with those things. Good luck.

I managed to fix the 9200, it was pretty simple, I just took it over to my friends house, he's got a integrated vga, blah :p so I just put my 9200 in the AGP slot and started the computer, atleast this time it booted from the floppy, but the screen wasn't displaying anything, all I had to do was type in the right command, atiflash -f -p 0 oldbios.bin and restart the computer plug the monitor into the 9200 and voila! I just wonder why my PC wouldn't boot when I had the 9200 in my AGP slot...

Also the reason why I was flashing a 9200 is because I was going to try it on a 9800pro, I want to flash it to a 9800XT, so I thought I'd learn how on a old card first... Atleast I' ll know how to fix it if I flash the wrong bios.

Whatever It's fixed now so i'm not complaining. ;)

for a 9800pro -> XT you need the right memory chips (samsung) not the other slower ones.

Yeah, I know that I have to have a radeon 9800pro 256MB if I want a true 9800XT with overdrive and temp display, don't worry I educated myself before doing this. I know what cards can and cannot be modded and that I'm goinf to need new cooling. Some things just have to be learned by hand... better to learn how with a shitty card then a ruin a nice one. :)

Now if somethign does go wrong I'll know how to fix it ;)
