Hi, I don't know much about computers so any help with this problem would be greatly appreciated. Recently my pc caught the anti-virus system pro virus. It had the same virus a few months ago and i managed to remove it, i went to do the same thing but this time it had blocked out malware bytes, after trying several differant programmes nothing worked, i was then told to restart my pc in safemode, i did this but safe mode went to blue screen. when i restarted my pc it loaded up to the desktop but then nothing else happened, my old backrounds back but no icons or start bar is appearing. I tried to get to task manager but it says its blocked by administrator.

    In short my problem is
    - Safe modes all go to blue screen
    - cannot access start menu/ taskmanager/ anything from desktop
-please help! i have a lot of coursework and important files on this pc

Let's see if we can get some info so that we can determine which system file has been corrupted. That way we can try to replace it.

Download and save the below to your PC (save it anywhere you can find it. The Desktop is fine). Then double click on it to run it.

    AVPFind.bat

It should take a couple minutes to run. You will see a black command prompt window while it is running and it should close when it is finished. Once it finishes, attach the c:\avplog.txt

    Now download and Run exeHelper

    • Please download exeHelper to your desktop.
    • Double-click on exeHelper.com to run the fix.
    • A black window should pop up, press any key to close once the fix is completed.
    • Post the contents of log.txt (Will be created in the directory where you ran exeHelper.com)

Note: If the window shows a message that says "Error deleting file", please re-run the program before posting a log - and post the two logs together (they will both be in the one file)

Next, try running the below online scan:

    http://www.superantispyware.com/onlinescan.html

Reboot immediately after scanning if it finds and removes anything. Let me know if anything was found. See if you can save a log with it and attach it in the next reply.

Now run a new scan with MGtools and attach the log. Using MGtools

    Next post please attach:

    • c:\avplog.txt
    • log.txt (from exeHelper)
    • SAS log (if you can)
    • New MGlogs.zip
