Big Problem

I already posted this in the overclocking forum... I came home from work last night and I found that my computer had locked up. I restarted it, and a little voice tells me "system failed due to CPU overclocking." I have an Amd 2.0 3000+ which i overclocked to 2.2 last spring. My average running temp is about 30C idling... i cant figure out why this may have happened, or what to do to fix it... anyone have any ideas?

 

It may have never been completely stable which would slowly cause problems in the background due to miscalculations by the CPU. Just reset the CMOS if you're having problems getting it to boot

 

to backup vipers comment, to reset you're cmos there is most commonly a jumper that you will need to switch over one space then move back after 30 seconds or whichever.. if you are not familiar with your mobo's settings for that, remove the cmos battery.. about the size of a nickel, for about 10-15 minutes..

Well I got it to boot last night after i pulled the BIOS battery. When windows started up i got the magical stack dumb blue screen. I rebooted and got it again a little later on. Then it worked fine. Now, i get that creepy voice telling me the system is cooked again. Is the computer just fried?
